Manaaki

Developed as a social enterprise by Omaka Marae, Blenheim; the Manaaki brand is part of a long term and progressive business strategy to create opportunities for the wider Marae family. Giving individuals the opportunity to learn the skills needed to grow, harvest, produce, market and sell produce.

As a small range of handmade preserves and condiments, Manaaki keeps the recipes of past ‘Aunties’ alive. Todays generation of Aunties retain the use of traditional Māori ingredients, while the design targets the modern foodie looking for a new and unique eating experience. The word Manaaki stands for hospitality, showing care and respect for others.
